Transformers The Last Knight announces the start of their production with a 30 second teaser featuring Optimus Prime’s eyes flaring purple indicating life.

Even though the last Transformers movie might have been a disappointment for some fans but it was a hit in other parts of the planet and helped push the grossing amount envelope to some $3.7 billion worldwide and that might have been enough encouragement for  Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks, and United International Pictures to continue the franchise and take it ahead to the fifth movie.

Subsequently titled Transformers The Last Knight, we can say that it has a medieval touch to it but if we remember the last part, Age of Extinction, we will remember that Optimus Prime travelled to another planet and wielded a sword. This might be the same sword that is shown in the title poster for the movie.

The studios have released a 30 second teaser on multiple social media sites where we see Optimus Prime’s face with his eyes or technically the lights that compose his visual base flickering to life. The official Instagram page for the movie has an accompanying caption that says, ‘Calling all Autobots. Optimus Prime is ready for battle. Are you?’

Whether the question is for the audience or the characters, we are left to speculate as we see the new title of the movie which goes on to announce that the production for the movie will start in June, 2016.

Michael Bay is returning to direct the movie while the script for the movie is being written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Ken Nolan. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto will produce the sequel.

Major facts known to the franchise are that the fifth part is probably the merging of the stories of the first three and the fourth movies’ plots. Josh Duhamel will return to reprise his role as Lieutenant Colonel Lennox and Mark Wahlberg will be reprising his role as Cade Yeager. They will be joined by franchise newcomers Isabela Moner and Jarrod Carmichael.

Welcome back, @joshduhamel! The universe feels safer with Lieutenant Colonel Lennox on our side. #transformers
