Chinese Xiaomi brings its TV set-top box to the US market.
As predicted Xiaomi has announced the Mi Box at the Google I/O 2016. The Xiaomi Mi Box is a 4K HDR Android TV set-top box with bluetooth voice remote and Game controller. The Mi Game controller with vibration and 3-axis G sensor is sold separately.

The Mi Box is running on a Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali 450 GPU. The streaming box has 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 8GB of eMMC storage. The system can display 4K video at 60fps. Other features of the high-powered Mi Box include HDR10 and HDMI 2.0a, Dolby Digital Plus + DTS surround sound, Bluetooth voice remote, USB port for additional storage, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Google Cast ready for Android and iOS devices.
The Mi Box will be one of the first devices that will support Daydream on Android N. Daydream is Google's new mobile VR platform announced at the Google I/O 2016. This indirectly means that the Mi Box will support Android N, to be released this summer. The Mi Box will ship with Android TV 6.0.
