It was featured at the Tokyo Motor Show way back in 2015 and today it is the talk of the town. The robot is humanoid in nature. It also rides the motorcycle in the same manner as a living, breathing human being.
This invention began its journey from Japan and today it has the world in its grip. The goal is to go beyond human capabilities. Robots are just intelligent machines that mimic mankind.
They can perform a variety of jobs. Yet AI has changed the mindscape of the global village. MOTOBOT now wants to compete against the Doctor or Valentino Rossi. He is a racetrack MOTOGP star.
That is why the title of the video clip was “MOTOBOT Meets the Doctor”. Rossi is shown showing interest and curiosity regarding the MOTOBOT. The conversation that takes place will amaze and amuse the world. It is all there on YouTube for everyone to see.
Yamaha Motors has been out of the picture long enough. Now it is a case of “No More Mr. Nice Guy!”…It is all set to make a name for itself. The Doctor actually helps MOTOBOT become a better racetrack rider in the end.
Robots driving cars and motorcycles are not a novelty. Such experiments have been in the pipeline since eons. Yet today they are being practically implemented.
Therein lies all the difference in the world. Side stands and training wheels are there on the motorbike that MOTOBOT is meant to ride. It’s not like the ride can be accomplished without the aid of support systems.
Among the long list of acts MOTOBOT can do are operating the throttle, changing gears, applying the clutch and stepping on the brakes when needed.
MOTOBOT will soon be riding at the incredible and unbelievable speed of 200 km/h. That will be sometime next year. The motorcycle it will ride will be fitted with sensors for safety’s sake.

The final destination is a slightly surreal one. It involves MOTOBOT competing with Valentino Rossi. This is the introduction of human extensions that outdo human beings. It is something everyone would love to watch when it actually occurs in the future.
