Apple is reportedly picking Tuesday September 13 to unveil the iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 leaks are intensifying as Apple's partners are getting ready to kick off the iPhone 7 production. It is widely expected that Apple is unveiling and releasing the iPhone 7 in September.

The Taiwan Economic Daily mentions today in a report that the iPhone 7 event will take on September 13. September 13 is a Tuesday and would fall in line with past iPhone events. The iPhone 6S was announced on September 9, 2015, which was a Wednesday. The reason for the Wednesday schedule last year was the preceding Labor Day Holiday.

Labor Day 2016 is a week earlier than the September 13 Apple iPhone 7 event on September 5 and would not interfere with that date. The Taiwan Economic Daily reporters have recently visited Apple's suppliers in Mainland China. If the date for the iPhone 7 event is just an educated guess or a leaked information is not clear. September 13 is a highly likely choice for the iPhone 7 event.

The iPhone 7 pre-order would kick off on Friday September 16 and the iPhone 7 release would be on September 23.

The new iPhone 7 is based on the iPhone 6S design, but going to have some massive improvements based on the leaks we have seen so far. The iPhone 7 camera will get a major upgrade and not only the dual camera version. The design of the antenna lines is going to be much improved, making the iPhone 7 look like the iPhone 6 should have from the start.

Apple is also rumored to finally make the iPhone waterproof. If the 3.5mm audio jack will be removed remains to be seen. The leaks are conflicting. In the rumor mill are three iPhone 7 models. Tim Cook could unveil in the September 13 Apple event besides the iPhone 7, an iPhone 7 Plus and an iPhone 7 Pro.

Over the weekend iPhone 7 parts leaked suggesting that the iPhone 7 will come in 16GB, 64GB and 256GB storage configurations. Apple seems to be sticking to the 16GB entry level model, despite growing outrage amongst consumers.
