Toyota is going to be the lead company providing petrol-electric cars in Europe by the next few years.

The recent stats have shown that Toyota is going to become the leading company that would provide the hybrid cars all over Europe. Its hybrid cars are accounting for almost 30 percent of all the cars being sold in Europe these days.

According to Schlicht, the executive producer of Toyota Europe, Toyota’s sales have increased by ten percent on the past year. The company sold 847,000 vehicles in year 2015. This is a huge increase of sales in terms of car industries.

Where Europe saw an increase in car sales, the opposite was seen in Russia. Here, car sales dropped by 35% from the last year. This happened due to poor financial conditions, economic sanctions that were pretty hard for people and collapse in oil prices.

However according to Toyota, it was still a profitable year for the company in Russia. They managed to sale 120,000 vehicles in Russia last year.

Toyota sold 270,000 hybrids last year. Schlicht said that the Auris that were sold in Europe consisted of 60 percent of petrol-electric hybrid cars, while the 40% sold out were Yaris.

Toyota is seeing a lot of demand of RAV4 in Europe. RAV4 consists of 40% of all the orders that are being made in Europe. According to Toyota, the company is trying to fulfil the demand of customers however the increase in demand is pretty difficult to handle.

They said they are not able to get enough supply of this car from factory. This clearly shows the interest of car lovers towards hybrid and petrol-electric cars. These are not only eco-friendly but are budget friendly as well thus making a great tool for transportation.
