Pitch Perfect 3 pushed for five months to December to fit into the holiday season.
No one would have thought that a story about Acapella group would become a worldwide phenomenon. When the first Pitch Perfect movie hit the theatres in 2012. The movie grossed $113 million worldwide. The sequel of the movie which hit theatres last year made a more spectacular mark grossing $286 million.

The second movie was still running in theatres when the fans started asking about the next part. The crux of the movie remained that some of the major characters in the movie graduated from the college. Naturally the next step for them would be to move on. The only person who was left to continue the series was Hailee Steinfeld. Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson were some of the stars that made the movies work. So fans were correct to be concerned.
The cast soon announced that they will be returning for the third part. The story for the movie seems to have been approved. Elizabeth Banks is set to direct the third instalment.
Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Hailee Steinfeld are all reprising their roles in the movie. The only thing that still seems to be unsettled was the release date of the movie.
The movie was confirmed to release in 2017. The month of release was still conspicuous. The studios set the release date in August, 2017. The fans were anxiously waiting for the movie and emphasized that the release be a part of the summer releases.
The movie was then announced to release on July 21st, 2017. The fans were glad but not anymore. Due to some production and release date issues, the studio has decided to push the release date for Pitch Perfect 3 to December, 2017, according to The Wrap.
That’s five months later than the previous release date. The studio is hinting that the movie might have a holiday theme which might be attributed to its later release date.
