McLaren is all set to prepare a cut-price, all electric hyper car. This car will be produced under the banner of Ultimate Series range produced by McLaren. This car will be a track focused road car and might go on sale before the end of 2020, according to AutoExpress.

It was reported earlier that McLaren will produce a cheaper EV and will then focus on a full electric hybrid car. However now it has been announced that an all-electric hybrid car is underway which will be priced a sub £1 million.

This new McLaren will a much faster car then that of 675LT. Despite being a CO2 free car and an electric car, it is expected that ivy will break the record of 200mph.

A McLaren insider told us that that a plan to produce a successor of this car is not a viable option now. McLaren is focusing on technology and is trying to build the best by finalizing all the efforts on one product.

They won’t be releasing a McLaren P1.5. The work on producing a pure EV has been started and McLaren is expecting a great product at the end.

McLaren introduced its future strategy in Geneva Motor Show that was held in March. According to Track22 plan, almost 50 percent of cars produced in the next 5 years will be hybrid or electric technology based.

An electric McLaren will be able to manage a round of 30 minutes on track with a 30 minutes break before heading on the track back. The next P1 won’t come in market before 2023 however one can totally expect an Ultimate Series car before that.
