Facebook is now launching Instagram for ads on the internet, in movie theaters, and on outdoor displays in France, as part of a campaign that will run through August.
These ads will feature images and videos from everyday French Instagram users, reported an Instagram spokesperson. According to his statement the French Instagram users will be in the middle of this whole campaign.
Laurent Solly, head of Facebook France said in a statement to Les Echoes that they are still developing. He said that they are still a growing community in France. They are just celebrating their community on a whole.
The timing for this campaign comes at a very strategic time as the UEFA Euro 2016 football tournament is ready to kick off on Friday. Ensuring that hundreds of football fans from all over Europe will be coming to support their favorite clubs. Instagram has chosen France who are hosting the events this year very wisely.
Till yet there has been no confirmation about the extent of investment that Instagram has made. According to Solly, the investment is somewhat ‘significant’. We can see the development in the additions and the changes that the app has made recently. They changed the app to a new black-and-white design, a revamped logo, and an algorithm-based image feed.
Earlier this year, the app announced that it had more than 200,000 advertisers on its platform. Last week, Instagram officially launched a suite of tools for businesses, including analytics services and a new contact button for business profiles.
