J.K. Rowling asks the Harry Potter fandom to keep quiet about the secrets of Cursed Child as it opens for previews.
It’s here and it’s going to be live. The Nineteen Years Later installment of the Harry Potter story. As was announced last year. The eighth story of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is upon us. It’s a play that is taking place in London. Written by J.K. Rowling and John Tiffany and directed by John Tiffany is opening today on Tuesday for previews.
Fans who were fortunate enough to get on in the action and pre-book the tickets are waiting outside the theatres. They will going through tough security checks to ensure that they do not smuggle in any video recording device including camera and phones. The plan is to keep the play a secret and instead of imposing any limitation and harsh rules, Rowling has addressed the Potterheads herself.
In a brief video, 50 years old author calls upon her loyal Potterheads. We see her in a black and white video in which she says to them that they’ve been amazing for years at keeping Harry Potter secrets so you didn't spoil the books for readers who came after you.
We see her with John Tiffany during discussion and then she says, So I'm asking you one more time to keep the secrets (pointing at a Keep Calm and Keep the Secrets poster) and let audiences enjoy Cursed Child with all the surprises that we've got to the story.
She also took to Twitter to address her fans saying, ‘Potter fans have always had each other's backs. Today I'm asking you to #KeepTheSecrets of #CursedChild. This isn't about ticket sales: we've been sold out for ages.
Bearing that in mind, she wants the audience to see and discover the play for themselves. The story continues from the Platform Nine and Three Quarters where Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny send off their kids on Hogwarts Express in the Nineteen Years Later chapter in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The story explore Harry’s life after all the years as he is now working at the Ministry of Magic as an Auror. He and his second son Albus discover that darkness follows from the unexpected places and they both seem to be in troubles of their own.
