Tesla got this high range per charge after it exchanged the older battery versions with 75 kW battery option in the electric cars. However now Tesla is bringing back the option of 60kWh pack option too. This option will be seen in the S60 and S 60D models. The S60 which will be offered in rear-wheel drive and 60D which will be offered in all-wheel drive will have this option.
As these models will showcase a lower power battery then S70 so their price will be lower as well. The rear-wheel model S60 starts from $67,200 (with destination) while the all-wheel drive S 60D is available at $76,200. Both of these cars have $4000 cut from the original price due to an inclusion of 69kWh battery. However these models won’t be able to attain the range of 234 and 240 miles like that of S70 and 70D.
