Disney has dropped the first official teaser trail for Moana, the animated movie set in the South Pacific. The movie looks like it will be another hit for Disney, as even the first few seconds seem to reel you in. The clip begins with a demigod named Maui (who is voiced by Dwayne Johnson) introducing himself and all of the exploits he has done. The character seems to be a bit of a Hercules type figure, though he doesn't exactly look like him.

As Maui explains, he used his magical fish-hook to help pull up the islands that they live on from the ocean floor. He also used it to slow down the sun so that they could be happy. He does all of this to impress Moana, the film's main character, but she proves difficult to impress.
Moana is going to be the first primarily computer animated film from Ron Clements and John Musker, the duo who last worked on what this movie seems to be a little bit of a combination of - The Little Mermaid and Hercules.
Auli'i Cravalho will be voicing Moana, who is poised to be the next great strong female character for all little girls. The soundtrack is also quite promising, including tracks from Opetaia Foaʻi and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda who is already getting Oscar buzz for songs that we barely hear in the trailer, though you can hear something that many assume to be from Miranda. If he does win an Oscar for the song, he will be the youngest PEGOT (that's Pulitzer, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony).
