Marcus Grimmie delivers an emotional speech and thanks fans and friends for all their support and love in memory of Christina.
It was a tragedy when the young Christina Grimmie was shot by a person unknown for reasons unknown while she was signing autographs. Her brother Marcus Grimmie tackled the shooter down.

She was taken to the hospital but she passed away from her wounds. The world is just stunned by the atrocity of hatred that took away such a young and talented star.
The people in her family, city, state, her fans and the people she worked with are all stunned by the death of the singer. Band Twenty One Pilots and Selena Gomez paid tribute to her in their concert performances.
The most disturbed by her death is her coach on the show The Voice, Adam Levine. Adam tweeted while Christina was in the hospital that she felt better.
However, when Christina didn’t make it he expressed his sorrow along with his wife Behati Prinsloo saying that he couldn’t make sense of her death. After that, he offered Christina’s family to pay for her funeral. The offer was accepted and the family were able to mourn their loss.
A half-hour vigil Marlton Memorial Sports Complex was held in memory of Christina remember her. Family, close friends, pastors and even Mayor Robert Brown spoke at the vigil, Billboard reported. Many wore “Team Grimmie” shirts designed just for the event, and there was so many people in attendance there weren’t enough candles.
Marcus Grimmie, who is being hailed as a hero for tackling down the shooter, also spoke about his sister. In his speech he said, Christina was awesome…She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord and she loved me and she was just my baby sister.
He thanked Adam for his generosity and the music world that had supported him and his family following the tragedy. He also mentioned the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting.

He said that Christina’s loved ones have had such support but those people in the club didn’t and he felt for their loss as he did his. The family has also encouraged fans to leave messages and wishes that family would read and respond to. Many attendees at the vigil remembered and cried over Christina.
