Now Harley-Davidson has made an exciting announcement. According to this historic company, people will be able to ride an Electric Harley-Davidson in the coming five years. This news was shared by the Harley Executive Senior Vice President Sean Cummings with Milwaukee Business Journal.
It was expected that Harley would go for an EV motorcycle soon. However the thing that stopped Harley from starting the project was battery technology that was not very reliable a few months back. However due to advancement, powerful batteries for motor bikes are available as well.
These batteries will include at least 50 miles in experimental machines. If one needs to have more range for the batteries, more batteries will be required for the purpose. More batteries will need bigger storage space, which can be a problem in motorcycle.
Thus one will have to bid farewell to the beautiful and sleek designs of Livewire. Therefore, it might take a little while for the motorcycle specialists to come up with a technology that could increase the range. Or they will have to come up with a design that will be able to support bigger batteries without ruining the shape of bikes.

Harley-Davidson has a particular design and heritage that has made it one of the biggest names in classic motorcycles. The change of designs might not appeal the old customers or the riders who are mostly middle aged people in the case of this bike. Harley-Davidson might have to adopt a new design for younger generation while keeping the old one for prior customers.
