Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Mass Production Begins in July with 5 Million Units
Leaked Galaxy Note 7 Render

The next Samsung Galaxy Note is reportedly skipping a version number and will called Note 7 and not Note 6.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled on August 2 in an event in New York according to a leaked invite earlier this week on SamMobile. The Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event will take place at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York at 11am ET. The event will be streamed live on the Samsung Mobile Youtube channel.

Samsung hints on the invite that the Galaxy Note 7 will have a dual-edge screen like the Galaxy S7 edge. The current believe is that only one new Note model will be launched.

A new report claims that Samsung will kick off mass production of the Note 7 in July. According to sources of ETNews, Samsung will produce 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 in July and another 2.5 million in August. If these numbers are correct, then Samsung is very optimistic about the Note 7. Samsung only made 5 million Note 5 in the first quarter of its release. The Note 7 production volume for the first quarter could be 50% higher.

Earlier this month, renders of the Galaxy Note 7 leaked. The device has a very clean design and the screen extending over the edges gives it the unique signature look that only Samsung is offering.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will take on the iPhone 7 Plus with an expected head start of almost two months in the market. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 7 Plus in September.
