Everything is classy with Mercedes, so are their new Multibeam LED headlamps. New Mercedes-Benz E-Class is making its debut in 2016 with a world first: three-layered multibeam-LED headlamps developed in partnership with lighting and electronics experts at HELLA.
The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is going to make its debut in 2016. The car will show case the three layered Multibeam LED headlamps for the first time too. These headlamps have been developed in partnership with HELLA’s electronics experts.
The three layered headlights have nothing ordinary about them. They have 84 LEDs that can be controlled individually. They have the ability to vary the light distribution ahead with respect of road condition, time of day and weather.
These intelligent Multibeam LED headlamps, will have the integration of High Beam Assistance Plus. It will allow the vehicle to use high beams more frequently thus making the drive more safe and secure for passengers.
Steffen Pietzonka of HELLA has stated that Multibeam LED headlamps, are proving to be a revolution in terms of safety in driving. It will play a great role in Road safety.
The best part about these high beams is that they are glare free. So the people coming from the opposite direction won’t get blinded from the other side. A new feature of adverse weather light reduces the glare from roadway thus giving a more sound view of the road for the driver.
Two light guides above the main headlamp will guide the total light and generate direction for indicators. The daytime running lights that are positioned above will also be operated likewise.

Another feature of a blue light named “Coming-Home” is a part of this headlight too. These will add beautiful visual effects to the overall look of this car. These will be turned on as soon as the driver will unlock the car with the key or smartphone.
