VW will have to pay an amount of $7000 each for a car for diesel emission scandal.
Volkswagen is going to pay more than $10 billion to settle the claims of diesel emissions which was made by almost 500,000 owners, according to Reuters.

All of them complained for the diesel emission that was happening in their owned vehicles. This scandal was pretty drastic for the environmental pollution thus getting the attention of many organization on the media.
The settlement have been done privately. It is said that each owner will get $5000 as a compensation of potentially hazardous emission of diesel.
Along with that they will be given the estimated value of their vehicles as of September, 2015 when the scandal started. They will also be given a compensation if anyone of them chooses to have their vehicles repaired.
Other than that according to the settlement details, VW will put enough efforts to boost the zero emission vehicles. Along with this they will introduce a program to offset the excessive diesel pollution from all these involved vehicles.
It is said that this settlement will be of around $10.3 billion in documents. A source of ours said that this figure does not talk about the total amount of money VW will be paying to its customers.
According to this source more money for environmental costs will be played as well. However the amount of money involved in this settlements is not disclosed yet.
Originally it was said that the settlement will cost Volkswagen about $18 billion of money. However the settled amount of something close to $10 billion is good deal for the company for sure.
