Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Iris Scanner, 5.7-inch Screen and 12MP Dual Camera Confirmed

Serial leaker Evan Blass confirms Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

The next Galaxy Note will be indeed called Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Samsung is skipping the Note 6. Rumors about Samsung matching the version number of the Note with the current Galaxy S emerged in May.

Evan Blass also confirmed several other rumors about the Galaxy Note 7. The Galaxy Note 7 (SM-N930F) will feature a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 64GB storage and 12MP Dual camera. We reported that Samsung will add a dual camera to the Galaxy Note 7 setup in early June.

Blass also says that the Galaxy Note 7 will be IP68 water-proof and will be available in black, blue and silver. He also confirmed that there is an Iris Scanner and a 5MP front camera.

The Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to feature 6GB of RAM. Blass did not confirm that yet though. The Galaxy Note 7 dimensions are supposedly to be 153.5mm x 73.9mm x 7.9mm, which is close to the Note 5. The Galaxy Note 7 will come with dual edge screen. There will be no flat version. A render video based on leaked CADs of the Galaxy Note 7 has been released by competing leaker OnLeaks a couple weeks ago.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled on August 2 at 11am ET in an Galaxy Unpacked event in New York. 

Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 will be the new flagship phone to beat this fall. Apple is rumored to also adopt a dual lens camera system in the iPhone 7 Plus. There are also rumors about Apple introducing a third kind of iPhone with the iPhone 7 Pro.
