Rumors are that Mercedes-AMG GT Convertible can be seen in the year 2016.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Convertible aka as “The Green Hell” was introduced last week. This car came with the extended range of flagship sports cars. The AMG’s boss has confirmed that fans will see two more GT vehicles coming their way in a few months. One of them will be a convertible.

The Mercedes-AMG division chairman, Tobias Moers, reflected that the soft top Mercedes-AMG GT Convertible version was going to make its debut in year 2017. However the car can be seen in this year too. This indicated that Mercedes is working towards releasing this new convertible in year 2016.
“The convertible has moved well beyond the drawing board” Moers told Auto Express at the launch of the GT R. “it will be the next AMG GT model to arrive”.
Rumor has it that the prototypes of a convertible AMG GT is being made and is getting test runs these days. We might get you a scope on them if we get any spy shots of this car.
According to Mercedes, this will be a proper sports car. It will have a sports car drive feel to it and will be fit for the drivers who want to have a fast ride. The weight will be reduced by adding bigger however lighter material used in body.
Along with that it will have a roof made of fiber to tone down the weight of car. It will give the car more speed and efficiency due to the lighter weight of body. It is said that this GT will be available in 456bhp and 503bhp. One can expect the addition of around £10,000 on a change for cabrio.

A road-legal GT model is also in preparation these days. Though we still don’t know about the details of this car. Along with that one can see a GT4 following the GT3 in near future too.
