High-end audio company Bose released the BOSEBuild kit to teach kids to build their own Bluetooth Speaker.
BOSE released the BOSEBuild Bluetooth speaker DIY kit aimed at educating kids about audio technology. This is a great marketing idea. BOSE is able to show off that a speaker is much more than just a membrane and a magnet.

BOSEBuild is inspired by the company's found Dr. Amar Gopal Bose, who died in 2013. Bob Maresca, the CEO and president of Bose recalled this about our founder:
“Dr. Bose was fascinated with electric trains when he was very young. He learned how they worked by taking them apart and putting them back together, and he had that same insatiable curiosity throughout his entire life. That spirit is still at the heart of Bose. And it’s a great example of what we’d like BOSEbuild to offer – fun and relatable ways for kids to make something they really want and can use for years to come, while learning about the incredible science and technology behind it.”
The BOSEBuild Speaker Cube comes with an app showing kids how to assemble their first Bluetooth speaker. The speaker kit not only educates through the assembly process, but also comes with 15 different activities. Kids can experiment with the basic components of a speaker - a coil of wire, magnet and paper - to make sound and music come alive. They will explore frequencies and equalization to understand how these impact the sound of music. Finally, they will build a high-performance, durable Bluetooth Speaker Cube and personalize it with colored lights, silhouette covers and clips.
When fully assembled, the Speaker Cube is a high-performance Bluetooth speaker that provides the same quality sound you’ve come to expect from Bose. This is probably the coolest aspect of the $149.99 BOSEBuild. The company teaches kids early what good sound is and associates its brand with the experience - great marketing.
