Women who had many miscarriages were more prone to conceive a baby boy if they took an aspirin prior to getting between the sheets. This can be compared to a placebo group which showed no such effects in the long run.
The humble aspirin, which is in fact a wonder drug, caused this increase in gender bias by up to a third as much as the placebo group witnessed, according to DailyMail. The study was published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation.
The recurrence of miscarriages is more likely to be due to inflammation of the womb. Since the immune system views the baby as a foreign object, it attacks it with several self-generated hormones and chemicals leading to the miscarriage. Due to the fact that male babies are more vulnerable in the womb, they are less likely to survive too.
That is why in the UK more females are born than males. The decrease in male babies has been attributed to high stress levels, rampant pollution and the pregnant female’s consumption of tobacco products.
Aspirin is used to treat chronic pain, high temperature and swelling in the body. It also increases the chances of pregnancy of women who are undergoing the IVF process.
In a latest study, 1,228 women with a past that consisted of miscarriages were given low doses of aspirin prior to sex for the purposes of conceiving a baby.
Some of them were given sugar pills (placebos). 31% who took the aspirin had a baby boy. Only 23% on the placebo had a baby boy though. Also those who took aspirin had less inflammation showing that taking aspirin worked on many levels.
The rejection of male babies by Nature was reversed thanks to such a simple step as taking a pill of aspirin before conceiving a child with your life partner.

More thorough research is needed before we can say with an air of finality that this is the case for sure though. That is because this effect was seen only in women with a history of miscarriages.
