According to Amazon, Prime Day 2016 will offer two times the TV deals compared to Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2015 combined. We take a look what that means in terms of deals.
July 12 could be the best day to buy a new TV all year. Amazon announced that Prime Day 2016 will offer much better inventories on TVs on sale than on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
"Following last year’s record sales, we have dramatically increased the inventory behind many deals. In fact, in the U.S. we have nearly double the TV units compared to Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined," said Greg Greeley, Vice President Amazon Prime.
The TV deals offered on the first Prime Day last year included a $75 32-inch LED TV and a $115 40-inch LED HDTV. The $75 Seiki SE32HY 720p 60Hz LED TV was sold out in no time. Same was true for the $115 TCL LE40FHD3010 1080p 60Hz LED TV.
Amazon offered similar low priced TV deals on Black Friday last year along with a several more stand out TV deals. It was equally hard to get these deals.
With double the inventory on TVs on sale, chances should increase a lot to actually score a hot Prime Day 2016 TV Deal. Amazon has already offered the first Prime Day 2016 TV deal yesterday. The $119.99 32-inch Hisense TV including free Fire Stick was available for hours. This deal was decent, but not outrageous as a $75 32-inch TV or $115 40-inch TV set.
While the deals on low end TVs are exciting, you can save the most money on mid-range to high-end TVs. Amazon has so far not made any announcements which TV deals the retailer will offer on Prime Day 2016.
