We have our first real glimpse at the iPhone 7 Plus which measures 5.5 inches in size at Weibo. Some claim that this will end up being a separate SKU dubbed as iPhone Pro but we aren’t sure this might be the final case. The design is quite similar to that of an iPhone 6 Plus with the addition of a smart connector.

The home button seems to have seen a few changes too, but it’s unclear to see whether the new iPhone has flush capacitive Home Button as suggested by the rumors but the new Home Button will definitely help a lending hand to Apple’s dust-proofing and waterproofing efforts. One thing that was missing from these photos is the mute switch which was absent from its usual place.
This shouldn’t be too shocking as most of the new devices by Apple do not have the mute button especially all the new iPads. But we shouldn’t take this as the last word on the matter. The mute switch has sort of been an important feature of the iPhone but with the new Control Centre in iOS 10 Apple might see the need of hardware unnecessary for something that can be achieved using software.
The back images of the phone solidify that there have been changes to the camera and the antenna lines. The phone has a dual camera cutout which has two camera sensors both of 12 MP. The antenna lines cover both top and bottom edges of the phone. The Smart Connector seems unnecessary for a 6 inch phone and might not actually make its way into the final product despite being tested out in prototypes.

The Apple logo in these images is unfilled but will probably be filled as per usual in the device. The bezel and the screen cannot be distinguished after seeing these images. The 3.55 mm jack is most probably going to missing although we can’t corroborate it with the images as the bottom of the phone is not visible. The phone will not be available with 16 GB of storage. The official announcement will take place in September.
