This is the first time that people have gone barmy over a simple computer game. Pokemon Go is played on a smartphone using a particular application.
It is a fun-filled game where you have to search for the Pokemon that is imbedded in a real life location. This makes the game even more interactive than any previous scheme.
Tom Currie is 24 years old and hails from Auckland, New Zealand. This man gave up his job as a barista at a café for the sake of playing the game Pokemon Go. He will spend his time travelling the length and breadth of New Zealand, all the while playing the game.
Up until now, he has scoured 50 kilometers of territory and collected over 700 Pokemon. The game Pokemon Go was launched on July 6th. Currie has booked several buses so that he can travel all over the landscape of New Zealand collecting the cute roly-poly yellow creatures.
"It keeps track of how far you've walked and I've done around 50 km so far, and that's with the actual game, walking away, slogging away."
After entering a particular location, Currie catches the Pokemon while on foot. The proposition of catching a Pokemon from a car has been one that could end in an accident, so that is out of the question.
Currie is also keeping track of how many kilometers he has traveled so far in his quest for catching Pokemon. He is currently at a level 20 which is better than most of the players in the region. Currie wants to achieve the endgame role which is a cherished desire of his. It is something for which he is willing to do anything.
In fact, Currie has changed his designation on Facebook from barista to Pokemon trainer. He has admitted this much that he is not the only one who has left behind his responsibilities in order to play the game Pokemon Go. There may be several others in the locality who are up to the same old tricks.
