A novel roadworthy vehicle termed the Bullet has been designed by Bristol.

Bristol is a name to reckon with in car making history. Its latest sports vehicle is called the Bullet and it is a beauty. A few weeks back, this car was camouflaged at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

With the name of the Bullet as its terrific title, the car was made for being taken on joyride after joyride. The concept behind the name is Project Pinnacle, according to AutoCar.

In order to send this vehicle into the market as a bombshell of a rubber-burning roadster, a 4.8 liter BMW V8 engine lies in the bonnet, ready to do its job.

Towards the end of July, this racer will have its stats, specs and figures revealed for all to peruse at leisure. For now it is being kept part-mystery and part-enigma. Half a decade ago, Bristol manufactured the Fighter which was another very popular car.

However, it stopped selling in the market in 2011. Not many Fighters rolled off the assembly lines. Only 13 made it to the roads. A turbo version of the Fighter lay in the pipeline but it was thrown in the rubbish heap at the last moment.

As for the Bullet, it will probably be the last non-turbo vehicle to emerge from the Bristol factory. The BMW engine in this car will ensure that it runs on the roadways like a wild horse…swiftly yet silently.

Earlier models of Bristol cars have been constructed from aluminum. Yet the Bullet will break new ground since its chassis will be made from carbon fiber. It will be market-worthy by the time the Spring Season arrives in the year 2017.

It seems that Bristol cars have a way of getting reborn time after time and thus they surprise the public which is kept guessing as to the next move by the company. Since the past half a century or so, the engines of Bristol cars have been pretty uniform in their specifications.

As for the historic link with BMW, this is a tradition that Bristol takes as a source of pride and honor. BMW is after all a big name in car manufacturing companies.

Bavarian Motor Works (as the acronym stands for) has made the best of German vehicles since times immemorial. Now, finally when the Bullet comes into public view next year, the crowds of cheering aficionados can get their fill of this automobile which is a work of epic art.
