Samsung says about the skipping of the Note 6: "First and foremost though, you might be curious as to why it’s called Galaxy Note7 instead of Galaxy Note6. There are a couple reasons why. First, the Galaxy Note 7 will complement our Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, and unify our product portfolio. Second, the Galaxy Note7 will minimize confusion about the latest mobile technology from Samsung, and provide full alignment with Galaxy S smartphone."
The Galaxy Note 7 is the worst kept secret. The Note 7 has leaked pretty much in full. Apple is going to get a challenge with the Note 7. Samsung put everything into the Note 7 including Iris scanner and dual lens camera. Other Note 7 specifications include 6GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, 5.8-inch AMOLED screen (2560x1440), USB-C, 64GB/128GB/256GB storage, stylus, 3600mAh, 12MP camera, 5MP front camera and IP68 Water and Dust Resistance.
The rumor about the dual lens camera in the Note 7 has lost steam. The leaked images do not confirm that feature.
