The talk about a new Han Solo movie was pretty much the hot buzz on the back of the new Star War movie that released last year. Of course the fans has qualms about one of their favorite characters dying at the hands of Kylo Ren and we said R.I.P. to Han Solo and Harrison Ford’s last performance as the character. The studios auditioned various artists for the role. Back in May, the actor who was confirmed to play the younger Han Solo was Alden Ehrenreich. The casting was not one hundred percent confirm especially when people were questioning his casting. On Sunday, however, all doubts were put to rest.
Alden joined in on the 2016 Star Wars Celebration Europe. He took his place at the Future Filmmaker Panel for reprising the role of Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars VIII and Han Solo standalone movie. He was applauded by the audience as he sat down.
The co-directors of the project, Chris Miller and Phil Lord who are working on the Han Solo movie then took the charge to update the audience about the movie, according to Deadline.
The movie premises will be about the origins of Han Solo before he met Leia and Luke Skywalker. The script, they said, was still in the works. They said that Alden had been the first actor to audition for the role.
They had countless other auditions and reads but they knew he was the one. For his final round of auditions, he got to explore the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon set and did a scene with Chewbacca.
