The Girl on the Train new trailer reveals more about the characters, the plot and all the pent up aggression.
The thing with literary movie adaptations is that people are always looking out how well you do it. There is a hoard of people who have already read the book. They know how it is going down in the story. At the same time, the movie adaptation has to appeal to the non-reading audience as well. So it is tricky to make a movie and trickier to make a trailer that will attract the masses to the theatres.

Paula Hawkin’s Gone Girl adaptation was a successful venture in 2014 and they hope to follow that up with The Girl on the Train. The trailer for the movie was just released and although we got a teaser two months back, the trailer is just a full on in your face experience.
The main character of the movie is played by Emily Blunt who is the Girl on the Train of course. We see her face at the beginning and it looks like she had been crying. Her portrayal of Rachel took a lot less makeup and lot of dedication from Emily Blunt to look like an alcoholic and distressed divorcee.
She explains that she idealized this couple whom she saw on her way every day from the train on which she went to work. She calls them the embodiment of true love. We then see Megan, the woman in the couple saying that she wants to start her life all over again. We see her in exercise class and running to a tunnel and we see that a woman has disappeared.
Rachel says that she saw Megan from the train. She explains in another scene that she was with a man. We see her making her way to the end of the train to see what happened to Megan. We see Luke Evans as Scott, Megan’s husband looking on as camera crews gather and Justin Theroux as Rachel’s ex-husband Tom getting groceries from the car and watching Rachel as she is escorted by the police.
We see a gruesome crime scene in yellow tape among the trees. Rachel identifies the woman she saw. We then see a montage of scenes in which Megan seems lifeless while Scott makes love to her, Rachel in a bar in the city, Tom with his new family. We found out that the woman who has gone missing was a nanny for Tom’s family as we see them exchanging greetings followed by Tom engaged in sexual activity with a blonde woman.
Tom asks her why she is there and she says that she is helping find Megan. Tom tells her that she is not helping anybody. Rachel talks to Scott and tells him that she saw Megan with someone. Scott speculates that it might be her therapist and we get a look at him as well. We see a montage of scenes again in which Megan is bruised, people are having sex, some aggressive scenes and dragging through the halls scenes and at the Rachel says that she is afraid of herself.
It leaves you numb and shocked and anticipating as well. Most people would want to see what happened to Megan and Rachel. The story behind it. The trailer sets the premise without giving away too much and people will surely be hooked to go and watch the movie as it releases on October 7th in the U.K.
