Hyundai’s Project IONIQ focuses on shaping technology till the year 2030.
Hyundai is one of the leading automakers which is working on providing the best kind of transportation in the future. Their hybrid and EV projects have earned a lot of name in global market and now they are focusing on making their technology much better for the coming years.

This is the reason that Hyundai’s Project IONIQ has been properly established. The company has hired the top academics in the Hyundai’s Project IONIQ lab in order to work for the technology that will be incorporated in the cars and the technology that will impact in the car industry by the year 2030.
The Hyundai’s Project IONIQ Lab is established in Korea and its main focus will be on research to provide innovative solutions for motor industry. This project was announced in this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The Hyundai’s Project IONIQ will provide open innovation invitation for all the people.
This will include the cooperation of organizations, academic bodies and universities. The Hyundai motors through this lab will suggest the innovative technologies that will pave the way for comfortable future mobility.
The Chief executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor Company said that they are pretty happy to have launched the Hyundai’s Project IONIQ Lab officially. He added that this lab will make sure that free and practical mobility gets introduced in eth future vehicles. He also added that the lab will also focus on tailoring solutions according to the need of clients in order to prove lifestyle mobility for them.
Wonhong Cho, Executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor Company said: “We are happy to announce the opening of the ‘Project IONIQ Lab’, which extends our efforts to understand future mobility and influence the concept of ‘freedom in mobility’. Hyundai Motor will advance theoretical and practical understanding, innovating to develop future mobility solutions tailored to our customers’ lifestyles.”
The lab will focus on fur areas which will include, freedom to use the mobility wherever and whenever one wants, the freedom to connect to everyday life while moving, freedom from energy exhaustion and pollution, and lastly freedom from accidents or incidents due to safe driving.
Dr. Soon Jong Lee, Professor of Seoul National University and Head of Korea Future Design & Research Institute will lead the Project IONIQ Lab. He will be supported by 10 researchers and 10 consultant experts. The group has already issued a summary of 12 future ‘megatrends’ that are likely to affect the car industry in 2030.
