Well, somebody has to cater all the disappointed customers, don’t you think?

The VW diesel emission scandal broke hearts of many die hard VW fans. Many loyal customers of the company are now utterly disappointed in VW due to the emission fraud that was done by company. This doesn’t mean that the diesel car industry is going to decline.

We can certainly see a huge decline in VW customers but the diesel interest is still there in many valued customers. This is the reason that GM is going to take over the customers of VW. Chevrolet is actually going after Volkswagen’s diesel customers in full swing, according to Automotive News.

The company is looking to build a potential trustworthy relationship with customers who are keen to buy diesel vehicles. For this purpose Chevy is going to work on Diesel modules and will try to bring forth the minimum emission diesel vehicles for the customers. They have started planning and working on this project and soon we can expect a fleet of diesel cars and crossovers in order to fill the gap of VW cars.

Chevrolet’s Nicholson said that they are working on a new model Chevrolet Cruze which will be based on diesel engine. Its engine is being processed these days. This car is expected to arrive somewhere between year 2017. It will feature a 1.6 liter diesel engine which is nicknamed as a “whisper diesel” as it is very quiet.

He also said that U.S is the potential growth, market for a diesel engine car. Where everyone is looking for a hybrid or an electric car these days. Diesel engine fans are still out there who know that a powerful engine is only a diesel engine. The company is pretty much optimistic about Cruze and thinks that it will be accepted well among diesel car fans.
