Hyundai is going to kill Genesis Coupe for a new model.
Hyundai has finally announced that it is going to dump Genesis Coupe after the 2016 model. Many of us were expecting to see an upgrade of this model in the year 2017. However the automaker has now officially announced that their won’t be a new Genesis Coupe for all the fans over there.

The production of this car will cease after year 2016’s model. This decision was taken in order to pave way for a new model by Hyundai. Once this model will be finished off, the company will be able to concentrate more on developing a new and better car model for its customers.
We might be able to see a replacement of coupe somewhere in the year 2017. However the new model will fill in the place of a luxury model in the series of Hyundai Coupe Genesis Brand.
Christine Henley who is the Product PR manager for Hyundai said that it will be the last model of rear-wheel drive Genesis Coupe, according to Motorauthority. The sporty coupe was loved by many.
When they were asked for a replacement, Henley replied by saying that a more sophisticated and luxurious model is under construction these days. After the development is completed, this model will take the place of Genesis Coupe 2016 model.
There were rumors earlier that this model will have a 3.3 liter turbo charged engine with an eight speed automatic transmission. This new car will be an all-wheel drive car.

It is said that it will be inspired from Hyundai HND-9 Sports Coupe Concept which was introduced a few years back. Currently Genesis is offering two sedans which are G80 and G90. Both of these are luxurious and sporty coupes.
