It seems as if these AirPods will be safe from the battery issue that plagues all wireless headphones as these have been manufactured in collaboration with Passif Semiconductor who Apple acquired in 2013 and specialize in making power efficient chipsets.
We are not really shocked to hear that this project was under development for quite a while because Apple always has a bunch of things going so that it can become the one to break technological barriers.
Many of these projects never come into fruition but this news that in-house technology is being used to make this sort of solidifies that these AirPods might actually see the light of the day. Apple’s struggle to create a pair of wireless headphones that uses the most advance technology but remains small in size is long standing.
The disastrous Bluetooth Handset as well as the current Beats model are examples of these. Apple has all of its tracks covered as it holds a number of patents relating to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi earbuds.
We will finally get to see if all our speculations come true as rumors suggest a special event in the first week of September to launch these AirPods.
