Pokemon Go fans in Asia will not have to wait much longer since the game has gone live in more than a dozen countries of the large continent.

Among these countries may be included: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and Palau.
This was bound to happen since Asia was next on the list of land masses where the game was to be released with great pomp and fanfare.
Three countries that are missing from the list are: India, China and Korea, according to TechCrunch. In India, smartphone sales are increasing by leaps and bounds. The huge nation has a population of 1.2 billion people.
What exactly is holding the game from its launch ceremony in India is a riddle wrapped in an enigma. China meanwhile is a humongous market for mobile phones and it has strict rules and regulations regarding all media.
Thus the game’s dependence upon Google Maps is a big hindrance in its catching on in the Sino-sphere. Also in Korea, similar matters having to do with security issues are causing the obstruction.
Pokemon Go is unofficially available in parts of Korea though. Those who would do anything to play this game find ways of gaining access to it no matter what. That is the way of the world. Pokemon Go was launched in the United States on July 6th. It took off like magic.
The craze for this game reached such monumental heights that soon it was rolled out in other nations of the West such as New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Canada. Japan is the basic home of the game since the mother companies Nintendo and Niantic exist there.
Japan was where Pokemon Go began its journey. Four days later it made its way to Hong Kong. Brazil was the next venue. The Olympic Games are in full swing there.
Later on, many more Latin American countries will come under the influence of this positive addiction. Recently, the game accomplished the record feat of a 100 million downloads.
In the US alone, it has caused a massive surge and spike in the sales of smartphone battery packs. There have been a few snags along the way such as delays and glitches in reception.

Also there has been a slightly reduced raking in of revenues, yet for all purposes, this is the “in” thing for now on a global level.
