If Apple’s attempt at creating a universal TV guide comes into fruition, users will be able to watch content hosted by a number of different providers under the same roof.
Apple has apparently shifted gears and has directed its efforts in to finding better ways for its users to locate content rather than coming up with its own streaming service.
Apple wants to provide its users with something that Tv guides in cable boxes have had for years instead of just offering a Siri powered universal search which is able to look for content on apps like Netflix and HBO GO.
Apple has been wanting its consumers to have access to something like for quite some while with its fourth generation Apple TV. Apple described its efforts in the following words “The idea is to let users see what kind of programming is available in video apps made by the likes of HBO, Netflix and ESPN, without having to open up each app individually, and to play shows and movies with a single click.”
Although Apple has faced some setbacks we are sure that it will be able to fulfil its goal of changing the way an average person watches TV soon enough.
