The Cayman will have 250bhp.

Porsche is all set to introduce a new policy in China. They are trying to introduce a new Cayman, Boxster in China but with lower horsepower. The cars will be less powerful as compared to the version which are currently being sold in the United States. Automotive News Europe recently reported that German car maker will go for a 718 Cayman and Boxster with a lower power.

In fact this project is actually being finalized and now people can find these models on the Chinese page of the car manufacturer if they need to get a quick review of the specifications. It looks like Porsche is all set to attain the standard of success which is gained by Audi in China.

It was recently seen that Chinese market showed a huge positive interest in buying the Audi's which were solely designed for the country. The interest of people and success of these customized cars led the sister company Porsche, to do the same in order to do a good business.

The Chinese variants of Audi had 1.8 liter engine, front or rear-wheel drive and were below in price as compared to Mercedes as well. This led to the successful sale of Audis in the past few years in China.

Porsche will be going for a 250 bhp engine for the 718 instead of its original 300 bhp. The car is expected to be sold at around 588,000 yuan which equals $88,340.

On the other hand Boxster will be available for 598,000 yuan which equals $89,842. The Cayman will be offered in its 350 bhp which is unchanged.
Both of these cars will offer the Chinese customers to buy the cheapest sports cars that they will be able to find anywhere by Porsche.
