Companies and automakers are currently carrying out numerous researches in order to bring about the best fuel saving system for cars.
Audi has finally come up with a new and innovative shock absorber system for cars. Audi is claiming that by the use of this system, the cars will be able to consume fuel in a much more efficient way. Along with that this system will also improve the quality of drive thus delivering comfort for the ones riding a car.
The shock absorber system introduced by the motor company include horizontally arranged electric motors that are in accordance with telescopic shock absorbers.
The main feature of this system will be to enable energy restoration in the car suspension. It will also include electromechanical rotary dampers. These dampers will increase the comfort of ride thus making it more enjoyable than ever.
This is the prototype that is being built by Audi these days. Audi is calling this prototype as eROT. According to the company executives, the dumps, bumps and curves on the roads lead on to produce loads of kinetic energy which is wasted in form of heat.
The eROT will help in consuming this energy in the electromechanical way. This will help the car to conserve the energy and will make the friction less in amount.
This will lead on to better fuel consumption. The damper on the other hand will take care of irregular path bumps and by absorbing the energy it will provide a comfortable drive.
