Editor's comment: The Ringing Bells TV is not a dirt chip bargain as their Freedom 251. It's priced as any other no-name TV with similar specs.

Noida-based Ringing Bells, the makers of less than $4 Freedom 251 smartphones, on Friday announced it will open the booking for its first 31.5-inch HD LED TV on August 15.

The delivery of Rs 9,900 ($150) Freedom LED TV will start from August 16 and the product will be delivered in the cash-on-delivery (COD) mode, the company said in a statement.

“Like our handset, we are expecting a good response for the television and assure our customers that they will get a quality product in an affordable price in the current market scenario," it added.

“Freedom 9900” TV comes with a resolution of 1366×768 and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It has two HDMI, two USB ports and two speakers.
