A statement posted on Twitter reads: "While we have enjoyed a winning relationship with Ryan for over a decade and has been an important member of the Speedo team, we cannot condone bahavior that is counter to the values this brand has long stood for. We appreciate his many achievements and hope he moves forward and learns from this experience."
Ryan Lochte said he will learn from the incident in an interview with Matt Lauer.
Lochte apologized again this morning for over-exaggerating his tale of being held at gunpoint in Rio. Ryan Lochte reportedly vandalized a gas station bathroom after celebrating hard with his team mates. He does not quite remember what happened. "I have no idea. I mean, I was very intoxicated. It was immature. It was childish," Lochte said to Matt Lauer on Today. "I take full responsibility for everything."
