Roborace introduces DevBot which is an electric race car that can be driven without a driver!

The autonomous driving is griping the motor industry with full force. It looks like that soon will a time will come when we will see driverless cars on the racing tracks too.

With the successful establishment to autonomous cars on highways we can expect these to arrive on the racing tracks in the form of racing cars as well among the Formula E racing tracks.

One of the companies have started working on the driverless racing cars too. The company Roborace is working these days in order to bring about the finest driverless racing cars.

The company is working on futuristic cars that are being designed by Daniel Simon. They just launched their teaser in which a driverless car is being shown racing on a track. This car is given the name of DevBot. DevBot can be seen piloting itself in the teaser on Silverstone Circuit in England.

The final look of this car will be sleek however its prototype has a closed cockpit, according to AutoBlog. It looks pretty similar to that of LeMans prototype that was released earlier. According to the company all of the developed vehicles will be mechanical copies of each other.

They will have high grade software that will make sure that they can be handled from outside or can race on their own. Roborace is claiming that its self-driving racing cars will showcase a top speed of 180mph. However the DevBot doesn’t show this much speed right now.

DevBot will have its international debit at Formula E’s open practice session on August 24. The event will be held at Donington Park in UK. The technology looks pretty promising and intelligent. This kind of technology surely will change the pace of racing games.
