The New EV certainly looks impressive and all business in terms of specs.

Volkswagen is all set to release its first ever all electric vehicle and it looks like the company is on to impress a lot of people. This first ever EV by Volkswagen will be revealed in the Paris Motor Show next month. This news was revealed by Herbert Diess of Volkswagen.

While speaking to a German magazine, he said that this new EV will have same dimensions as that of Golf but will have an interior of Passat. The car’s prototype will be revealed in Paris Motor Show and it is expected that it will officially go in production at the end of 2018 or 2019.

There were no further detail reveals by Diess on the topic of this new EV. According to AutoCar, the CEO of Volkswagen Matthias Muller has confirmed that an expert team of engineers have been working on the EV from the past many months.

They were given the challenge to make a car that will have a mileage like that of Golf which is almost 310 miles. They were also required to produce a car that can be charged in mere 15 minutes.

Along with that a new challenge was to bring about a car that will have low cost than the other conventionally engineered EVs offered by other brands.

This zero emission model will be a 4400mm in length car while Golf is 4255mm. Thus we are certainly looking towards a longer EV. Along with that VW is making sure that it will be cost effective for everyone. They are planning to raise a price tag for this car which won’t be out of reach for most of the customers.
