Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the scriptwriters, talked with Kevin Smith on AMC's Geeking Out and said that "that is breaking news that we're on Zombieland 2 right now. We're sitting with Woody [Harrelson] tomorrow and are going to sort of walk him through some of the stuff we want to do. All the cast is pretty excited."
Wernick and Reese were not only the writers behind the beloved first movie, they also wrote the script for Deadpool, so you know they are still at the top of their collective game.
We all knew that this was probably going to happen because of the logo reveal at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, but there were some rumors that they were having problems.
The original movie was released in 2009 and had an impressive cast, especially when you look at how famous they've become since then. There is no word on who else is coming back, but hopefully, the busy actors can clear up some time in their schedules.
