It still hasn't been confirmed that Daniel Craig won't step back into the role of James Bond 007, but it appears that he doesn't really want to do the movie series again. Spectre has long been considered his final venture into the fabulous world. Just like with Bonds of the past, he will be passing the torch onto someone younger.

Craig will remain Bond until there is a formal announcement of the replacement. Still, earlier this year there were reports that he turned down a $100 million paycheck to stay on board for a few more. However, The Sun is reporting that there is actually a short list of people who could take his place. Some of the names include Idris Elba, Michael Fassbender, Luke Evans, Charlie Hunnam, James Norton, and Jamie Bell.
Elba has played down the speculation that he would be the new Bond, saying that he is too old to start the role. He's 43 now and Craig is 48.
It doesn't sound like they are quite ready to call people in for auditions yet.
There have been some thoughts that Tom Hiddleston's relationship with Taylor Swift might actually hurt his chances of getting the role. The others all have various pros and cons as to why they would be good or bad Bonds. While Idris Elba would be a fantastic choice because Bond has always been a white man, it seems that he truly isn't all that interested in the job.
