Samsung announced a global recall of all Galaxy Note 7 because of a potential fire hazard.
In light of the misfortunate circumstance under which a number of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 have caught on fire or exploded, Samsung has decided to halt shipments of the smartphone and recall all the devices which have already been shipped.

Despite the fact that the phone hasn’t been in the market for too long a number of people have already bought it and if you are among those people than it is pertinent that you know how to return your device.
In case you acquired your handset from the flagship store then you have two options in front of you after you return your handset back. Samsung has offered that you exchange your current Galaxy Note 7 with a new one when it is available in the coming weeks or that you replace your Note 7 with a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge and get a refund for the price difference.
Both the options fall under the company’s Product Exchange Program and to enter into the program you will have to call 1-800-SAMSUNG. Opting for these options rather than asking for a full refund will get you a $25 gift card from Samsung as well.
Verizon is going to give you a full refund for the price of the Note 7 when you go to return it. It has assured zero issues will occur in this process and has issued the following statement “Because customer safety is our top priority, Verizon has stopped selling the Galaxy Note 7”.
If you bought your device from Sprint then you should visit the nearest Sprint store and return your Note 7. The carrier will give you a similar phone to use while your Galaxy Note 7 can be replaced.
AT&T is calling out for an immediate return of the Note stating that “Samsung has notified us that they have identified a battery cell issue in certain Galaxy Note 7s. They have asked all retailers, including AT&T, to stop selling the device. Because safety is our top priority, customers are strongly encouraged to exchange the Samsung Note 7 for a new device. Customers with a Note 7 may select a new smartphone, and may also return any Note 7 accessories.”
T-Mobile is offering a flat out refund for not only the Note 7 but also any accessories bought with the phone. You can return the phone by visiting a T-Mobile store or calling 1-800-937-8997.

If you bought your Note 7 off Amazon or BestBuy or similar third party sellers then the best course of action will be to contact your retailer to get the best advice on how to proceed with the return.
