Apple makes the new Jet Black iPhone 7 color exclusive.
The new Jet Black iPhone 7 Color is the most desirable of the iPhone 7 color line-up. It makes the iPhone 7 appear as one monolithic sculpture. The glossy front goes seamlessly over in to the glossy and shiny body.

Update 09/09: As expected the Jet Black iPhone 7 are selling out quickly. The Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus is now delayed until November. The Black iPhone 7 Plus is delayed by 2 to 3 weeks and this just within the first 30 minutes of iPhone 7 pre-order availability.
The high-gloss finish of the Jet Black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products. Apple warns that its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, Apple suggests to use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone. This recommendation is a bit scary.
Apple is known for thinking it is best to use iPhones without a cover. If the company basically recommends one, than the scratching of the Jet Black surface could be a real issue.
The Jet Black color is exclusive for the 128GB and 256GB configurations. This means you cannot get the Jet Black color on the cheap.
With the new Black color there is a viable alternative to Jet Black, but it is not quite as cool. Black might still be the more sane choice. The Black iPhone 7 is available starting with 32GB and up to 256GB.
The pre-order of the new iPhone 7 begins on Friday. Until then you need to make up your mind which color you pick for your new iPhone. Apple has unveiled the new iPhone in a packed media event on September 7. Feature highlights include A10 Fusion CPU, improved camera, dual lens camera in iPhone 7 Plus, water resistant, stereo speakers and no headphone jack.
