The official trailer for the movie Collateral Beauty released and it is heartwarming and tearful
The official trailer for the new movie Collateral Beauty will have you teaching out for the nearest box of tissue paper. We had recently watched Will Smith as Deadshot in Suicide Squad so believe me when I say that this was not expected.

We see Will as Howard in a somber and depressed mood as he stacks dominos. With it we hear the narration that we are here to connect. There are three things that connect every single thing.
We lie for love, we wish we had more time and we fear death. In between we see Edward Norton looking at a picture, Kate Winslet looking at her laptop and Michael Pena hugging a woman.
And we see Howard playing with a young girl in a flashback before he let the dominos fall and he wakes up from a dream.
We then see him in a group where a woman asks him if he lost a child. We see Kate’s character saying that Howard is a brilliant, creative, charismatic guy who used to love life.
Right now he hates it. Edward’s character takes over and says that he tries to talk to him, he tries to reach him and he’s not there and he misses him.
Meanwhile we see them in an elevator together with Howard looking distant. A woman tells the group that Howard writes letter but not to people but to Love, Time and Death and they declare that it is therapeutic.
We then see Helen Mirren, eccentrically dressed and she asks him whom he wrote the letter too. He tells her Death and she says it is a pleasure to meet him.
So she is Death. She explains as he walks away that people write letters to the universe all the time but rarely get a personal response. He tells her that he doesn’t want this.
He also meets Time who tells him that it is a gift that he was wasting it. He tells his therapist that he is talking to these entities. Kiera Knightley appears as Love.
She tells him that he is trying to live without her. He tells her that he saw Love everytime in his daughter’s eyes when she called her Daddy and Love betrayed him.
She tells him that she is the reason for everything as we see different characters in phases of their lives. She tells him that if he accepts that, he can get to live again.
We see a montage of Howard’s moments and Death says to Love that he is reaching out to the cosmos for the answers. Time says that there is so much more at stake than he understands.
We hear his therapist say during another montage that he has been given a gift, it is profound and it is connecting him to everything. He just has to look for it and she promises that it is there. The Collateral Beauty.
The movie releases in December. Watch its first trailer below.
