It is being surmised that sex robots will surpass human beings as sex objects worthy of one’s desire in the future.
According to scientists, we may all be having sex with robots sometime in the future. Human beings would have become obsolete as sex objects.
These sex robots would be more competent in the bedroom too. By the time we reach the year 2050, human-robot marriages could be the order of the day.
The dawn of the machines has reached an extreme and will eventuality lead to a technological singularity sometime in the days to come. One of the side effects of this is sex robots.
Human companionship is complex. There are a whole lot of loose ends. Yet in case of robot sex dolls, such a scenario is created that you can have the other at your beck and call. It is not a case of “Not tonight, honey”.
Since the sexbots of the future will have certain programs fed into them, they will be able to meet the requirements of each individual with alacrity and acumen.
In fact, one negative trend of this futuristic scenario could be the addiction to quick an fast sex with robots. Human beings will stop finding each other very desirable and will go for the AI alternative.
"Because they would be programmable," Joel Snell, a robotics expert from Kirkwood College in Iowa, told Metro UK, "sexbots would meet each individual user's needs. Robotic sex may become addictive. Sexbots would always be available and could never say no, so addictions would be easy to feed."
Some of the robots used for sex will actually be more beautiful or handsome than real women and men and deliver better sexual orgasms than them too. This is such an extreme paradox that it brings in nightmarish visions of a Brave New World.
One of the scenarios is of Amsterdam’s Red Light District including sex robots on display for the pleasure of the clientele. They could be the only inhabitants of the area reserved for sordid sex by the time 2050 arrives. Yet there is a silver lining here.
These android prostitutes will not be liable to transmit any such deadly diseases as AIDS. They will even be free of any STDs. The city’s council will control all the transactions that go on in the context of Amsterdam’s area that today houses women of easy virtue.
Of course, this all comes with a price which may be too steep for many. To have sex with a robot is a cold and calculated act. It lacks the mystery and warmth and intimacy of human interaction. The disease of social isolation will reach its peak thanks to this state of affairs.
