Jaguar unveils the Formula E Racer that is based on the I-Type.

Jaguar is trying its best to bring about the finest racing cars which are fully electric in mode. The company is making efforts to bring the best electric vehicles on tracks from the past few years now.

Recently it succeeded in bringing the concept of race car that is electric in nature. However it won’t go in production as the company’s dream electric racing car is yet to be made.

This new race car is called as Jaguar I-Type 1. It is the race car from the third season of Formula E Championship. The car will be fielded by Jaguar’s own professionals at Jaguar Racing. The team of professionals will be supervised by Team Head Gerd Mauser.

The team of professionals will run two cars on the track. Mitch Evans and Adam Carrol will serve as drivers of the team while Ho-Pin Tung will serve as a reserve driver from the Jaguar Team.

All three drivers have a vast experience of formula E racing which is the reason they are being considered by the company with Jaguar I-Type 1.  They were a part of World Endurance Championship and A1GP as well.

The Jaguar I-Type 1 is on for testing for the race in Hong Kong. This race will actually mark company’s comeback to the formula racing.

The company had stopped participating in the events after the unsuccessful Formula One team event of the year 2004. However it looks like Jaguar is all set to test the waters again in this field with a brand new car.

Jaguar is opting to participate in the event as a part of development of its production of electric cars. The race will surely give fruitful insight in the technology and the ways to make it better for future.
