Niantic has announced the Pokemon Go app for Apple Watch on Wednesday at the Apple iPhone 7 media event. The Pokemon Go app for Apple's smartwatch will not be exclusive. Code referencing Android Wear is already in the Pokemon go App release 0.37.0 that Niantic started to rollout on the weekend.

There are functions called "common_android_wear_update_text" and similar that are proof that an Android Wear Pokemon Go app is coming. The question is when. The Pokemon Go Apple Watch app comes before the end of the year. The Pokemon Go app for Android Wear is likely released at the same time.
