While Range Rover which is the sister brand of Jaguar is still working on the module of the electric cars. The Jaguar has hence come forward in the quest of introducing the EV. We are also hoping that this new electric SUV will be given the name E-Pace as this name was recently trademarked by the company.
Autocar says that Jaguar Land Rover EV platform which was launched a year ago was a low carbon vehicle. It looks like Jaguar is all set to get the platform on board. The E-Pace will be somewhat smaller in size than F-Pace. It is supposed to have a low roofline and more dramatic styling that will give it a sport look.
The Jaguar is focused on making an EV that will be performance oriented thus extra emphasis is given to the fact that its battery will be powerful which will be able to provide an adequate mileage to the car. Jaguar is all set to get an all-wheel drive for this SUV EV. We are also looking towards a structure that is somewhat in resemblance with the aluminum construction platform that is being used in JLR vehicles.
The prototype that was presented earlier had the lithium ion battery pack which is rated at 70kWh howler we think that the production model will have a bigger battery. The bigger battery will give a range of almost 280 to 300 miles.
