The Pokemon Go Plus is on sale in the United States. Here is How to buy the Pokemon Go Plus in the US.

Update 09/19: The Pokemon Go Plus has sold out in the first 24 hours. Nintendo will replenish Pokemon Go Plus stock in late October. We have secured a Pokemon Go Plus for our readers. Enter to Win a Free Pokemon Go Plus now. We will ship it end of September when the sweepstakes ends.

Update: GameStop is selling Pokemon Go Plus Online now on gamestop.com. Amazon and Walmart also sell the Pokemon Go Plus online.

Visit the How to buy Pokemon Go Plus Online guide to find out about the best way to buy a Pokemon Go Plus.

This will not last long. If you do not live near a GameStop store, this is your chance to buy one online. No other store has the Pokemon Go Plus.

The Pokemon Go Plus is on sale and Pokemon Go fans on the east coast have already their Pokemon Go accessory in hands. The $34.99 Pokemon Go Plus is only available at GameStop stores across the nation and in the Nintendo flagship store in New York. As reported GameStop offered Hold for Pick Up in Stores Reservations for Pokemon Go Plus Online. This option to reserve a Pokemon Go Plus for pick up ended at 9:45am ET.

The supply of the Pokemon Go Plus will be limited as expressed by GameStop, but the in stock tracker of GameStop stores shows most stores having the Pokemon Go Plus in stock. You can check if your local GameStop store has the Pokemon Go in stock here.

GameStop is not selling the Pokemon Go Plus in their online store. No other online store is offering the Pokemon Go accessory online including Amazon and ToysRUs. We have contacted ToysRUs and the retailer's customer support confirmed that Pokemon Go Plus will not be in stock at ToysRUs stores.

GameStop has landed an exclusive deal for the Pokemon Go Plus launch from Nintendo.

GameStop, ToysRUs, Amazon had offered the Pokemon Go Plus in the initial pre-order phase ahead of the Pokemon Go launch in July.

Those who have pre-ordered the Pokemon Go Plus before Pokemon Go was a thing, will get delivery of Pokemon Go Plus starting Friday. Many of these pre-ordered Pokemon Go Plus have been auctioned off on eBay when the AR Game started to gain viral popularity.

One reason for the extremely limited stock of Pokemon Go Plus in the United States, is the initial pre-order phase in June. Seems that Nintendo has a hard time to fulfill all American pre-orders and to supply additional inventory for new buyers.

Because the Pokemon Go Plus is readily available in Canada, there is an influx of new Pokemon Go Plus listings on eBay. The Canadian Pokemon Go Plus offers as low as $64.59, which is much lower than Pokemon Go Plus pre-orders have gone for weeks ago. If you fail to score a Pokemon Go Plus on Friday, you can turn to eBay a pick up one for an additional $30, which is not too bad.

The only option is to to buy the Pokemon Go Plus at a GameStop store or if you happen to be in New York, you can try the Nintendo flagship store. I would not recommend it as I have seen photos of a long line. By now the Nintendo store is likely sold out of Pokemon Go Plus. Try a GameStop store.

Here is a great example why GameStop is only selling the Pokemon Go Plus in stores. The retailer is betting on consumers to buy more than just the $34.99 Pokemon Go Plus. Redditor aznmonkeyxp bought besides the Pokemon Go Plus also a Charizard EX Red & Blue Collection. The margins on the Pokemon Go Plus are likely low. It could be that GameStop negotiated with Nintendo along that margin to get the exclusive in-store launch of Pokemon Go Plus.

About the Pokemon Go Plus

The most recent reports are more positive about the value and usability of Pokemon Go Plus. Pokemon Go Plus works with the latest Pokemon Go app updates 0.37.0 (Android) and 1.7.0 (iOS). The Pokemon bracelet has been verified to work with the Pokemon Go app running in the background in locked mode. Egg and Buddy distances are recorded while the smartphone is in locked mode, saving valuable battery power.

Raiding PokeStop is extremely convenient with the Go Plus. After getting notified of the presence of a PokeStop, you just press the button and you collect all items. This works also great for lucky trainers that work or live next to a PokeStop. They can just every 5 minutes.

The Pokemon Go Plus wristband is also notifying you when there is a wild Pokemon. You can try to catch it by pushing the button to throw a ball. This is though less of a powerful feature. There is no guarantee that you catch the Pokemon. On top of that you do not know which Pokemon it is. You need to pull out your smartphone to check. If it is a rare Pokemon, you then can decide to use a more powerful ball.

If you catch a Pokemon with the Pokemon Go Plus you receive XP, stardust and candy as you would catch with the app.

The Pokemon Go Plus is compatible with iPhone 5, 5c,  5s,  SE, 6, 6s, 6 Plus, 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices with iOS 8 or later installed.

The Pokemon Go accessory is compatible with Android devices that have 2GB RAM or more with Android Ver. 4.4–6.0 installed. Bluetooth Smart (Bluetooth Ver. 4.0 or higher) is required to use Pokemon Go Plus on Android.
