Beloved icon Stan Lee is 93 years old, and when you are 93, you try to plan things so that you have a lot of rest time. This might be one of the major reasons for Stan Lee having already filmed his next four Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) cameos.
At a special screening of Captain America: civil Far, Kevin Feige revealed that Lee filmed four appearances in the upcoming movies a few months ago.
He said, via Collider:
"We do not shoot random ones. They're always specific. A couple of months ago in Atlanta, [Lee] flew down and we shot four in one day — for four various projects. They’re all awesome! They’re all totally different. And he was unbelievable. He was on fire. He came in, he sat here, he stood there, he stood in this window, and then he went home."
It says a lot about the movie companies that they are able to film ahead of time. However, technology has also improved to the points where Lee probably films the cameos on a green-screen and then they are put in during post-production.
The current guesses are that Lee filmed for Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok, and Spider-Man: Homecoming. Start making your own guesses now about where he will be and what he will be doing in the aforementioned films.
